Lumino Press produces high quality print and digital resources in the fields of religion, education and spirituality. Our name, lumino, comes from the Latin name for a small lamp that reveals and illuminates a sacred image. Based in Brisbane, Australia, Lumino Press provides Church schools, parishes and families with relevant educational resources for the contemporary world. Our print and digital resources are accessible, affordable and support those working in a range of educational contexts. We want to make an impact on educators’ programs and inspire students to engage meaningfully with those programs.
Lumino Press was founded by Dr Maurice Ryan in 2006. Maurice has extensive experience as an author, university academic and publisher of teaching and learning resources, books, and academic articles. A selection of recent articles is available on this site. His passion for religious and general education guides all Lumino Press publications. Lumino Press digital resources and printed books are used widely in primary and secondary schools, universities, parishes and homes.
This website provides access to Lumino Press publications in print and digital formats. All Lumino Press publications share two qualities: a commitment to the best contemporary scholarship in the disciplines of religion, expressed in clear, understandable language; and, a focus on contemporary educational approaches that allow teachers easily to integrate these resources into their programs. Our vision is to create resources that meet the needs of today’s educators. We believe that talented teachers who have access to quality materials can achieve great things with their students. Our purpose is to assist teachers with that work.
